Tired of recounted conquests

Of repeated aged motivations

Of popular stone philosophy

Of walking through cleared paths

Would their name still outlive mine

When they had died in the bygone eras

Would their old and wrinkled words outweigh mine

Would my fame be wrapped in Socrates robe

What reason is there to live

If I could relate to Marcus Aurelius dead words than mine

If you could relate to Aristotle philosophy than ours

If I can't scribble a poem better than Shakespeare

If there's no major scientific law discovered in the 21st century

Would I spend my days advertising dead Newton and Einstein

Since their ancient experience guides the modern world

And artificial intelligence threatens my place in the future

If my name could not outlive my burial day

If there's no history of my living days

It's better to have been born in the stone age
