Alimam Sulaiman

Biography: Sulaiman Alimam, also known as Sulaiman Ibn Imam, is a young and determined poet often referred to as "The Poet of Nature." He completed his primary education at Al Amana School and continued his studies at Ansarul Islam Junior Secondary School, where he completed both his junior and senior secondary education. His journey into poetry began in SS1, where he started writing poems inspired by the world around him.

The mighty word

Words are whispers, gentle as a breeze,

Or thunderclaps that shake the trees.

They heal or harm, they build or break,

And leave an imprint that time won't erase.

With every syllable, a world's designed,

A universe of thought, where emotions align.

They paint vivid pictures, rich and bold,

And speak directly to the heart, young or old.

Words are wings that lift and soar,

Or weights that anchor, and hold us to the floor.

They have the power to inspire and ignite,

Or reduce to ashes, and extinguish the light.

A single phrase can change the course,

Of lives, of nations, and the force.

Of history's tide, where empires rise,

And crumble, leaving only whispered sighs.

The tongue, a flame, that flickers bright,

Can warm or scorch, with equal might.

Choose words with care, and speak with heart,

For language holds the power to set us apart.

Or unite us, soul to soul, and mind to mind,

In bonds of love, where hearts entwine.

Words are the bridges that connect and span,

The chasms deep, between who we are, and who we can.
