Collins Aiterebhe

Biography: ...I recall the pernicious vent of inanity, an attorney of songs; a kiss of imaginative empathy that dwells occasionally in artistic isolation!

LOVE AFAR (for Elizabeth Aondohemba Ikohol)

Howbeit the troubles of my mind

Erupts intertwined

I miss your essence

And have continually seek you

In this cold world

Where love enjoys no play

And melee disturbs the full speed

Of it's octave run

Muse clamps distorts my review

The dead waters and rocks

Jabbed from idolatrous attachments

My prolonged ejabments

Wild oars sail me across hazy tides

Of sea trends and harsh

Deep foliage; thickest beeches

I bleat in awkward generosity

Of joint solitude

For here I made room for it

And shall to you

Forthwith with broken peblisis

A known filth

Passaic without consent

Finally your river shall enter my heart

Eddying cool with limpid

Into the crystal beginnings of the day

Unless I fall again

The utter depth of love

My vile breath shall exude your fragrance

Where you shall lift me across wild river course

Into the older experience of flush

Backward; forward

Deeper even into steeler profundities of void

Torture yourself within me

Before my ripened eyes

Observe the oppressive weight

Of my squeak wrinkles!
